Pragma Systems Fortress SSH Server Receives US Army Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) Certification validates Pragma Fortress SSH Server throughout the US Army IT infrastructure

Austin, Texas {December 9, 2016} – Pragma Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-class remote access and security software for servers and clients, announced that they received a full Certificate of Networthiness (CoN 201621769) from the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) for its FIPS Certified Pragma Fortress SSH Server product which includes secure shell (SSH), secure file transfer (SFTP) and secure copy (SCP) servers and clients. Pragma Fortress SSH provides a highly secure way to perform system administration, application delivery and encrypted file transfer throughout computing environments, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Windows Servers, while maintaining the US Government requirements for security and cryptographic standards.

Pragma’s Windows SSH servers and clients are currently the only Government DoD approved and Microsoft Windows Certified SSH solutions in the industry with these major cybersecurity certifications: US Army CoN (201621769), US NIST FIPS 140-2 (certificate #1500), US DoD UCAPL, US Army TIC lab certifications, Certified for Microsoft Windows Servers 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2 and Windows 7/8/8.1. "Pragma is pleased to work with the US DoD and Cisco to improve cybersecurity across all key platforms," said David Kulwin, Pragma Systems CTO. "Achieving full CoN is a crowning moment for the Pragma team."

The CoN is a requirement for all enterprise software products in the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network. The CoN certification signifies that Pragma’s Windows secure shell product, Fortress SSH Server, is in full compliance with the Army Enterprise Infrastructure’s strict standards for security, supportability, sustainability, and compatibility. In addition to the U.S. Army, the certification applies to all National Guard, Army Reserve, and Department of Defense organizations that use the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network.

In order to further comply with government requirements, Pragma added 2-factor RFC 6187 support in Fortress SSH product line to work with Cisco routers and switches which are SSH RFC 6187 enabled. 2-factor RFC 6187 SSH is a key requirement for US DoD and Federal Government departments to avoid the hacking & unauthorized access going around from foreign countries and intruders. Pragma Fortress SSH clients and servers fully support RFC 6187 2-factor authentication, has been validated by Cisco to work in its secure environment (Cisco IOS 15.2 (2) and above supports RFC 6187).

By using Pragma's SSH/SFTP/SCP servers and clients, which embed its certified cryptographic modules, customers can copy, deploy and manage files securely from Windows machines to Cisco routers, network switches, Unix servers, Linux servers and Mainframes using SSH, SFTP and SCP.
