Command Line Utilities
|
| Delete Directory Tree -- Deltree is used to delete a directory and all the files that exist in that directory. |
| Find File -- Find is used to find a file in a directory and in all of its subdirectories. It shows the full directory path and name where the file (or files with the same name) is located. |
| Kill Active Process -- With proper access rights, the kill program can terminate a running process given a valid process ID. |
| Get Operating System Information Program -- This OS information program retrieves operating system information such as version number, build number, processor type, etc. and displays the information as standard output. |
| Password Changer Program -- Changes and old password to a new password with the correct domain and user name. This program takes an option with one input value and then prompts the user for the other inputs necessary to change the password. |
| Pragma Protocol Analyzer for Windows Longhorn/Vista/2003/2000/NT -- Protan is a useful protocol debugging tool. It will create a file that displays all information exchanged between the server and client. When it knows the data type, it will format that data for ease of reading. |
| Show Active Processes-- The PS command displays information to the user about currently active processes. |
| Pragma Command Line Telnet/Terminal Manager -- Telmc is the command line version of our GUI Telnet/Terminal Manager shipped with Pragma TelnetServer. It can be used to list current users logged onto the TelnetServer, or it can be used to log off a user or ALL users. |
| Get Current User Name -- The username program gets the current user name and displays it as standard output. |
| Fast File Text Viewer -- View allows you to display any ASCII text file in the directory specified. For a text file in the current directory, no directory specification is required. |
| Which Executable is FIRST in PATH environment -- WHICH allows you to find out WHICH executable file is first in the PATH environment. This is helpful if you have many tools, some may have the same name and you need to know WHICH one will be called if you executed the command. |
| Internet User Name Directory Service -- The whois program searches an internet directory for a valid domain name. The records hold information about the contact person for the domain, a list of servers under the domain or a list of host names. |
| Change Computer Name -- Allows administrators to change a computer's name from the command line. |
| Change Current Console Settings -- Allows you to customize your current console windows colors. |
| Shutdown Program -- The shutdown program shuts down a local or remote machine given its computer name. |
| Keyboard Tester -- Key provides the user with information about a particular key pressed. It lists scan code, ascii code, for the key pressed. |
| Process Sleep -- Sleep program goes to sleep mode for a certain time given as an input. |
| Get Group Information -- Getgroup program takes a valid username and a valid machine name and finds the local and global groups that the user belongs to |
| Get User Information -- Userinfo allows you to display user info for your network from the account kept by Longhorn/Vista/2003/2000/NT. |
| RunAs -- RunAs allows you to start a program with the security context of a given username. Password for the user is required. |
