Keyboard

The Keyboard page is used to set how keys are handled within the session.

Re-map ALT Key

For most clients the ALT key is used by the client and not passed to the server, so a new mapping is allowed so that the ALT key can be sent to the server. By default, CTRL-A has been mapped to act as the ALT key. For example, when in EDIT.COM, to access the File Menu, instead of pressing ALT-F, press CTRL-A (release), then F to represent ALT-F.

Special Keyboard Characters

Allow Control-C

Turn this option off to block users from having the ability to press the CONTROL-C sequence and exit out of the running application. If a process needs to interpret the CONTROL-C, turn this option on.

Allow Control-G

Turn this option off to block users from having the ability to press the CONTROL-G sequence. Control-G is the ANSI beep sequence and usually causes the server to beep. To send the beep to the client, see Beeping.
