Pragma FortressCL supports SSL with telnet connections

The telnet server must support SSL in order to connect with the SSL option. Pragma TelnetServer supports SSL connections which is on by default under Pragma TelnetServer.

Note: The port changes from the default telnet port of 23 to 992 for SSL connections to Pragma TelnetServer. Please check the port number before connecting to telnet servers with SSL support from other vendors.

The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to ensure data security. Therefore, when FortressCL connects to Pragma TelnetServer or any other telnet server with SSL support, data exchanged between the client and the server is no longer in clear-text. Instead, the data is encrypted using the SSL protocol ensuring data security.
