Pragma TelnetServer 2000 Release
Notes The following is installed with the product in the readme.txt
file. These are notes on the fixes and enhancements that have been
added to Pragma TelnetServer 7.0 since it's initial release
07/21/00, Build 1.
Some of these enhancements may not be
documented in the Help files or in the manual. Report problems and

Enhancements:
- Even more sessions with small SharedSection
setting
- Interaccess Manager now lists up to 512 users
- PassThru mode available - This is a purely stream
session. This should be used for direct communication between client/server
for entire session. Set a string registry value "FullPassThru" with a value
of "yes" for each user key under the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PragmaSystems\TelnetD\Users\ key that you want
to use Full Pass Thru mode.
- CRTERM environment variable added with a value of the actual terminal type
negotiated by the client. This could have been overridden by the Default
Terminal Type configured by the server
Fixes:
- PRB: Print Monitoring tabs causes Printer Ports to
disappear
- PRB: "Allow only configured groups" with Active
Directory group causes Dr Watson/GPF error. NOTE: This occurs if service
pack 1 has not been installed or has been corrupted. If you encounter this
problem, you should reapply your service pack.
- PRB: Monitor Child Processes causes system
crash
- PRB: Logging off interactive administrator causes
sessions to lose console processing
- PRB: Expired passwords not being prompted for new
password at telnet logon
- PRB: Graceful Termination combined key sequences not passed
correctly

Enhancements:
- The remote IP address has been added to the window
title during session monitoring.
- Users with expired passwords can change there
password at telnet login prompt. NT 4.0 only.
- Event log messages for any connection attempts to
ports monitored by InetD.
- New programming examples, which include program that
can be used to send a beep to a client
- Improved monitor child process code, which speeds up
closing of a telnet session
- New user registry value DECCharSet to define the VTxxx/ANSI character set
The possible values for DECCharSet are:
0 - ASCII; 1 - DEC
Supplemental; 2 - DEC Special Graphics; ** default value 3 - DEC
Technical; 4 - User-preferred supplemental 5 - ISO Latin-1

Fixes:
- PRB: Users that are members of multiple groups are
denied access even though they are members of groups listed under Group Access
Management.
- PRB: Domain users require domain entry if granted
access with Group Access Management.
- PRB: Only users with Administrative rights can log on
when the InetD Service is set to "Allow service to interact with
desktop"
- PRB: Denial of Service attack on remote execute
daemon.
- PRB: Unable to use a global group to grant access.
