AUSTIN, Texas [October 25, 2001] –
Pragma Systems Inc. is pleased to announce that Pragma SecureShell Version 2
product received the “Designed for Windows XP” logo for the Windows XP
operating system. As a result, Microsoft’s new Windows XP catalog will list
Pragma SecureShell as a certified product for Windows XP.
Pragma SecureShell Version 2 went through a rigorous
testing process following the guidelines required by Microsoft to meet Windows
XP logo certification. It passed all tests to obtain from Microsoft the
Designed for Windows XP logo. “This will assure our customers that Pragma’s
secure shell solution is a dependable product for deployment in Windows XP and
2000 environments,” said Beth Redd, Pragma’s project lead for software
development.
Pragma’s SecureShell supports both
SSH2 and SSH1 protocols, includes SCP, SFTP and is a significant new product
offering for Windows XP. Customers can now build highly secure networks using
Windows. Secure Shell protocol is an industry standard for building highly
secure corporate infrastructures and protects email, file transfer and remote
management via RSA/DSA cryptographic encryption using the most powerful
algorithms available like AES Rijndael, 3DES, Blowfish and CAST128. Pragma
SecureShell interoperates with other vendors’ SSH solutions on UNIX, Linux and
Windows.
Pragma’s SecureShell offering is currently being
deployed and evaluated by Marshfield Clinic, Swiss Telecom, Disney, Lockheed
Martin and many other corporate customers. Pragma SecureShell Version 2 pricing
starts at US$599.
