For immediate release: February 21, 2007 Nano-Embedded Mouse, IPv6 Assessment Tool, Biometric Storage among New Technologies at FOSE 2007, March 20-22 in Washington, DC

Washington, DC – Over 150 new technology products will be introduced at FOSE 2007, the government’s largest gathering of information technology professionals. Some 550 exhibitors will attract 15,000 federal high tech buyers along with 5,000 industry professionals to learn about the latest technologies at FOSE 2007 on March 20-22 at the Washington DC Convention Center. Registration is free for military, government, government contractors and educators.

“Industry has responded rapidly to the federal government’s burgeoning need for innovative technology solutions, and we will be showing off their new products at FOSE,” said Bill Howell, vice president and General Manager of FOSE. “Leading corporations such as AMD, American Power Conversion, CDW-G, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Motorola, Palm, Research in Motion, Toshiba, Xerox, and hundreds of other firms, small and large, are introducing new ways for government to operate more efficiently, safeguard our country, and move our national agenda forward. The Federal government’s 2007 budget includes over $75 billion for new technology spending, and products for cyber security, homeland security, health information systems and geospatial are hot areas of growth, and FOSE is the place where government kicks off its buying year.”

Here are a few of the leading companies who will be demonstrating new technologies at FOSE:

• Altova, the creator of XMLSpy -- the industry standard XML (eXtensible Markup Language) development environment for modeling, editing, transforming and debugging XML-related technologies --will demonstrate its full line of XML, data management, UML (unified modeling language), and Web services software tools. Altova tools are used by over 2.5 million clients worldwide, including Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies and numerous government agencies. Altova’s products increase the productivity of developers and lower the total cost of ownership on projects such as Web development, document management, data integration, database management, business process automation and Web services development.

• Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) of Sunnyvale, California will showcase AMD64-based servers, workstations, desktop computers and notebooks from industry leading hardware partners such as Dell, Gateway, HP, IBM, Lenovo and Sun Microsystems. Major governmental agencies like the Air Force have deployed AMD64 across their organizations. AMD will also discuss accelerated computing initiatives including AMD Torrenza, which delivers co-processing for improved performance in specialized tasks like modeling, encryption and security, and AMD Fusion, the next-generation merging of microprocessors and graphics processors, which can help enable smaller, more reliable and intelligent devices for military applications. Additionally, AMD will showcase its 50x15 initiative, which is aimed at bringing low cost computing to 50% of the world by 2015.

• CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G) of Herndon, Virginia will demonstrate the Ultimate Office, a technology solution designed to enable Federal agencies to meet Federal telework requirements, improve Continuity of Operations planning and support increasingly mobile Federal field staff. The Ultimate Office showcases best-in-class technology for small office and home office (SOHO) users, including a SOHO PBX phone system, peer-to-peer collaboration software, videoconferencing system and 750 GB serial ATA drive. CDW-G will also demonstrate the Total Security solution, incorporating physical, data, and network security, including a smart card with biometric access, IP video surveillance, and FIPS 140-2 certified wireless security.

• Cisco Systems, Inc. of San Jose, California will present its TelePresence Meeting solution, a revolutionary technology that creates "face-to-face" meeting experiences. Major defense and intelligence agencies are already adopting this technology for mission-critical programs where lives are at stake. In addition, Cisco will demonstrate its IPv6 Network Assessor, already helping federal organizations meet the IPv6 transition requirements’ deadline of June 2008 by providing agencies with reports and recommendations for IPv6 compliance on Cisco core infrastructure.

• Document ATM of Vista, California will unveil their 44-foot mobile Secure Document Scan Platform. The high-speed, self-contained mobile production scanning facility can be deployed anywhere in the country to assure that the chain of custody of the documents is not compromised. Outfitted with banks of Kodak i600 Series Scanners, the Mobile Scan Platform is capable of scanning over 150,000 documents per day. Preserving the chain of custody for documents is critical in areas such as health care, government, financial and legal.

• HP of Palo Alto, California will be highlighting a breadth of complete end-to-end technology solutions for the federal market in consolidation services, data warehousing, data center management, security, and imaging and printing. HP will be demonstrating more than 25 solutions and products at its booth. In addition, HP will be hosting 22 unique educational sessions to explain how HP can help the public sector optimize performance, improve manageability, and lower costs across its complex infrastructure and service needs.

• Information Technology Solutions Acquisition & Management, Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia will be showcasing a silver nano-embedded, anti-bacterial computer mouse as well as a wireless ball-point pen-sized “write and sketch freely” mouse that captures, stores, and displays handwritten information in real-time without the need for special paper or tablets. The WOW-Pens will also be shown in a special vertical form that reduces the strain that causes carpel tunnel syndrome.

• Meganet Corporation of Los Angeles, California will demonstrate its biometric USB mobile storage systems, the VME Biodrive, which supports FIPS 140-2 certification using a VME Crypto Engine. The system provides finger print authentication as well as a built in 256 bit Advanced Encryption Standard key that is unique to each drive. The Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Transportation have officially adopted the VME Biodrive as their standard for portable data encryption. In addition, Meganet will demonstrate the newly improved Hummer-mounted VME Terminator H2 bomb jammer, capable of blocking radio frequencies from 20 to 6000 megahertz to provide protection from the worldwide, growing problem of remote controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). • Microsoft Corporation will host a guided hands-on lab in the booth for customers to experience Windows Vista and Office 2007. Microsoft will demonstrate tools that help government agencies address various federal mandates and guidelines. The lab will highlight accessibility, information sharing, security and privacy features built into these new products.

• Motorola, Inc. of Schaumburg, Illinois will introduce a full suite of asset location solutions, including the MC70 rugged enterprise-class digital assistant that incorporates a mobile phone, PDA, computer, scanner and imager packaged in a single compact wireless device. The MC70 has just received certification for airworthiness from electromagnetic interference from the U.S. Air Force for all rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. The MC70 is widely used for asset location and mobility applications in health care, warehousing, and transportation.

• Pragma Systems, Inc. of Austin, Texas will demonstrate their new secure connectivity FortressSSH software specifically designed to provide authentication, encryption and data integrity for Windows servers, desktop clients, and mobile devices. Pragma’s award winning technology utilizes FIPS approved AES encryption and is used in several government installations for application delivery, secure file transfer, and remote management and administration across any Windows environment.
