introduces Fortress: a New Comprehensive Security Platform to Secure
Windows Servers and Enterprise Networks Austin, TX {June 9, 2004}
Pragma Systems, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise class Windows
servers for Microsoft platforms, introduces the Pragma Fortress product
line to enhance the security of Windows 2003/2000/XP by providing a
comprehensive suite of products and access which protects large
deployments of Windows based enterprises. Pragma Fortress protects
customers’ network security against network intrusions, identity theft,
unauthorized data access, hacking, virus and worm
attacks. Fortress is built with the
popular secure shell (SSH) protocol, the de-facto industry standard for
remote access and file transfer. The Fortress product line’s comprehensive
offering consists of: Fortress Server (SSH server and secure file transfer
server), Fortress Client Suite (an essential package of management tools
along with secure shell graphical client and secure file transfer
graphical client) and Fortress for Handhelds (PocketPC and Palm SSH
client). The Fortress server package includes fully integrated management
tools for server configuration, session management and secure remote
accessibility. Fortress line assists
customers to implement HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley
compliance. Pragma leads the way of fully
integrating with Windows Active Directory NTLM authentication support in
the Fortress line allowing customers seamless access to any number of
Windows Servers across an enterprise without having to re-type their
password or access credentials by using a single sign-on method. Pragma
added the NTLM authentication to coincide with the certificate or password
authentication options. Pragma Fortress product line is built with the
latest Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 compiler technology, resulting in
high performance servers and highly secure code. “Pragma’s Fortress line
redefines the Windows security market as it enhances the Windows platform
with cryptographic strength, impenetrable security and expanded
authentication. Pragma’s largest customers are expected to be its most
enthusiastic supporters as Fortress will help them secure access to

providers of third party enterprise class Windows servers and several of
its large customers are evaluating or deploying their product line.
Pragma’s SecureShell customers are migrating over to the Fortress product
line. Companies like Micron, Xerox, Sandia National Labs, Marshfield
Clinic and Camtronics have deployed Pragma’s security products. In
addition, McKesson Corporation, Force Computers, Ericsson and Peak
Technologies are evaluating Pragma’s Fortress product
