1. Does PocketVT run on my particular device?
Pragma PocketVT runs on generic devices with the following operating systems:
PocketPC 2003, Windows Mobile 2005, Windows CE 5.0 and Windows CE 4.2.
If your handheld device is an industrial model, then you need a specific version of PocketVT built particularly for that model.
Currently we support the following models from these manufacturers:
- Motorola (Symbol): 9000, 8146, 5090, MC50, MC70
- Psion TekLogix: WPro, 7535
- Intermec: CK30, CK31, 700C
- HP: SPS3000
- LXE: MX7
- NordicID: PL3000
- PSC: Falcon4420

2. When I press enter in PocketVT ssh/telnet connection, why do I see an extra character?
The extra character you are seeing is a Motorola device issue. Motorola suggests the following solution:
To solve the extra character problem, create a registry file with the following entry, copy it to the \Platform folder, then cold boot the device.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\#KeyKeypad]
"SpecialEnterTabKey" = dword:0
where #KeyKeypad is the number of keys that present on the keypad of your device. The terminal contains one of the following: 28KEY, 43KEY, or 53KEY.
3. How do I remove PragmaTerm.ttf and uninstall PocketVT?
First, exit PocketVT and run the "Remove Programs" from Start Menu > settings > Systems. This
should have removed Pragma PocketVT from your device completely. If the Pragma font file
(PragmaTerm.ttf) still exists on your device, then locate the PragmaTerm.ttf (should be under
\Windows\Fonts\) and rename the file and do a soft reset of your device. Then delete the renamed
.ttf file. Also delete the "Pragma" folder under the \Program Files location if it remains there
after running the Remove Programs process.
4. Will PocketVT work on my Smartphone running Windows Mobile 5.0?
Pragma PocketVT works on some Smart Phones such as the Treo 700W running Windows Mobile 5.0.
However, Smart Phones and the celluar connection providers require "Smart Phone specific
security" implemented in applications running on the smart phones. Pragma PocketVT at this time
does not have the "smart phone specific security features" implemented. But Pragma PocketVT
does have all of the necessary security features required by the SSH protocol (e.g. high-level
encryption) and the security features requried by generic PDAs and industrial handheld devices.
5. Does PocketVT support Port Forwarding?
PocketVT does support port forwarding. However, the PocketVT version with the port forwarding
feature is not available for web download at this time. This is a custom feature and available
on request.

Pragma PocketVT has a list price of $99.00 per individual license. Volume discounts are available

8. Does PocketVT work with SAP console?
Yes, Pragma PocketVT does work with the SAPconsole. Many Pragma customers are currently using PocketVT
on their industrial handheld devices to connect to SAPconsole.

9. What do I do to get the function keys to work in PocketVT?
Pragma PocketVT sends the standard VT escape sequences to the SSH/TelnetServer. However, the third
party application launched on the SSH/TelnetServer could be expecting a custom set of escape sequences
when function keys (hardware keys and PocketVT soft keys) are pressed on the handheld device.
Should you encounter function key issues with PocketVT, please find out the escape sequences expected
by the application and the type of server (SSH or Telnet, Windows or Unix) that you are connecting to and contact technical support via email:
